The Halloween Mini Series

It’s that time of year again.

So it’s that time of year again! The clocks have turned back, my makeup brushes are feeling absolutely battered and my skin feels 50 years older from all the halloween practice I have been doing.

Although this year I have only managed to create three halloween looks, filming two of them over on IGTV – I wanted to take this time to introduce you to my Mini Series: including my two favourite looks of all time which are filmed over on Instagram, ready for you and your friends to re-create.

Look 1: The devil and I get along just fine.

Although this look wasn’t filmed (due to use of prosthetics on the eyebrows and me not even knowing this was going to be the end result of the makeup), I wanted to share this look with you regardless. For this, I used Snazaroo Red Paint and Mmmmitchell x BeautyBay palette. With my Halloween looks, I always use the least amount of products as possible to make the tutorials and learning process so much simpler, affordable and easier for everyone wanting to re-create the looks. I loved this look due to the eeriness of it. When it launched, many people stated it was quite creepy: which in itself was me pushing myself out of my comfort zone of pretty, glam halloween makeup. If I could change anything about this look, I wouldn’t have drawn the black brows on. I would have left it with no eyebrows; making it look like I’d quite literally peeled my face off.

Look 2: Clowning Around

This was my favourite look until my third look took the lead and became one of my most liked posts on Instagram (since my 2016 Halloween series where each post gained between 600-1,400 likes). The best thing about this look is that I only used three products. THREE! This is what I love about Halloween makeup. You don’t need hundreds of products to create your looks. I joined forces with BeautyCutie, who kindly gifted me the products for this tutorial. I used the SOSU Urban Bible palette and the Inglot AMC Eyeliner Gels in shades 77 (black) and 76 (white). This tutorial is super easy and only 9 minutes long. I find this one of my easiest tutorials to follow. If you recreate any of my looks – make sure to tag me so I can see! Look 3: Pumpkin Spice & All Things Nice

This is my new favourite look of all time. I still can’t believe I created this look using two products. I teamed up with BeautyCutie again, using the Laroc Cocktail Collection Tequila Sunrise Palette (which is only £11.99!!!!!!) and the Inglot AMC Eyeliner Gel Shade 77. This look was so fun to create! Combining the lovely glam, night-out looking eyes with the bold and scary pointed mouth. I love the contrast between both styles which make it a really unique halloween look! I also think this look isn’t too much for a night out as you have glam mixed with horror. The tutorial for this look is over on my Instagram and is the second look of my Halloween Mini Series. Hopefully next year, I can create more and more looks (but knowing I will be in 3rd year of University this time next year probably crying and drowning in work does worry me slightly – hence why I’ve only been able to create three looks this year. Busy busy busy!)

The Mini Series (my two halloween IGTV’s), are over on my Instagram at oliviafmakeup. All products are listed and tagged for easy shopping, and I really do hope you find these short tutorials easy to follow just in time for halloween weekend.
